Reader Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (“you,” “your”) and Zest Delicious Software LLC (“RecipeYield,” “we,” “us,” “our”) governing your purchase of ad-free access to a recipe on a publisher site that uses our plugin (the “Service”). By completing a purchase you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Definitions

• “Publisher” means the site on which you purchase ad-free access.
• “Ad-free access” means your right to view a specific recipe on the Publisher’s site without ads, purchased for a specific recipe URL.
• “Recipe” means the specific recipe page you purchase ad-free access to.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. The Service is currently offered to users in the United States; if you use it elsewhere you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for local-law compliance.

The Service

Ad-free access turns ads off on that recipe, on that site, in the browser where you complete checkout (or restore via passcode), for at least twelve (12) months from purchase, and for as long as the recipe remains published and the publisher continues to use RecipeYield. Other recipes, other devices, and other sites are unaffected. Recipes remain free to read with ads if you do not pay. Ad-free access is not a purchase of the recipe or of any content, and recipes and nutritional information remain the Publisher’s.

Your account is an email

We identify you by the email address you provide and a derived reader identifier. There is no password. We email a one-time passcode to that address to verify it, and you can re-issue your entitlement on a new device by requesting a fresh passcode. Keep access to the inbox you used.

Entitlement cookie

We set sponsor_ent on the Publisher’s domain. Clearing cookies, using another browser, or blocking storage will show ads again until you restore with a passcode. Refunds revoke our server-side record immediately.

Acceptable use

You agree not to abuse the passcode flow, scrape the Service, resell entitlements, or interfere with other readers or with the Publisher’s site. Details are in our Acceptable Use Policy.

Payments

The price shown to you is the price you pay; it will not change while you complete the purchase. This is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Cards are processed by Stripe, with RecipeYield as the merchant of record. Chargebacks are handled as described in our Refunds policy.

Refunds and support

We handle reader support and refund requests — you do not deal with the Publisher for these. If checkout charged you and the ad-free cookie never landed, the recipe URL was not the one quoted, or you still see ads on a recipe you purchased ad-free access to, email ${mail(CONTACT_EMAIL)} from the address you used. We refund without requiring proof. See the Refunds policy.

Disclaimers

Recipes, allergen, and nutritional information are the Publisher’s and are not advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that ads will never appear (networks, caches, and browsers can fail).

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zest Delicious Software LLC and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Dispute resolution

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding arbitration in Dover, Delaware, under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association, by a single arbitrator in English. You and we each waive the right to a class, collective, or representative proceeding and to a jury trial. You may opt out of arbitration by sending written notice to Zest Delicious Software LLC, 8 The Green Ste A, Dover, DE 19901, USA, within thirty (30) days of your first ad-free purchase. Either party may instead bring a qualifying claim in a small-claims court of competent jurisdiction. Either party may seek injunctive relief in a court in Dover, Delaware.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any court proceeding will be brought in the state or federal courts in Dover, Delaware.

Changes and termination

We may update these Terms and will post changes on this page; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature survive termination (disclaimers, limitation of liability, dispute resolution, governing law) survive.
