Terms of Service (readers)
These draft terms apply to people who sponsor a recipe on a publisher site that uses RecipeYield. They are not a contract until counsel reviews them and we ask you to accept a dated version at checkout.
The product
A sponsorship is a payment to that publisher for an ad-free view of that recipe URL on that site, in browsers where you complete checkout or restore via email code. Other recipes, other devices without the cookie, and other sites are unaffected. Recipes remain free to read with ads if you do not pay.
Your account is an email
We identify you by email and a derived reader id. Keep the inbox you used. “Already sponsored this recipe?” re-issues the cookie after a one-time code.
Entitlement cookie
We set sponsor_ent on the publisher domain. Clearing cookies, using another browser, or blocking storage will show ads again until you restore. Refunds revoke our server-side record immediately; the cookie may last until expiry unless you use the clear-cookie link in the email. See Refunds.
Acceptable use
Do not abuse OTP, scrape the API, resell entitlements, or interfere with other readers. We may refuse service. Details: Acceptable use.
Payments
Prices are quoted for about fifteen minutes. The charge you confirm is the locked quote, not a later number. Cards go through Stripe to the publisher. Chargebacks are handled as in the refund policy.
Disclaimer
Recipes and nutritional information are the publisher’s. We are not the cookbook. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available, without warranties that ads will never appear (networks, caches, and browsers fail).
